The Cracker-Cats made it 3-2 an inning later. Clapp walked, stole second, went to third on a balk and scored on a ground out by Greg Morrison. They tied it and regained the lead in the fifth off reliever Howard Pence. Patterson was hit by a pitch, moved to second on a Morrison single, to third on a wild pitch and scored when third baseman Quartararo threw it away. Morrison went to third on the play and scored on a Chris Becker single.

Edmonton got two more in the seventh to make it 6-3 when Terrence McClain walked, Ware doubled and both scored on a Chris Clark single. The teams traded two runs each in the ninth to conclude the scoring.

This series concluded today. The Goldeyes left town for Calgary to face the Vipers for four games beginning Monday while Edmonton is bound for Kansas City. Winnipeg next plays at home on Monday, June 12 when Fargo-Moorhead visits for the first of three games.
