RailCats to Host Softball Clinic

Gary, Ind. - The Gary SouthShore RailCats Professional Baseball Club and Midwest Diamond Sports will present the First Annual Fast-Pitch Softball Clinic on July 6, 2006. Girls (ages 12-18) will receive one fun-filled day of softball instruction from the professionals of Midwest Diamond Sports.

The Clinic will take place on July 6th from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at U. S. Steel Yard in Gary. Kids will be divided into age groups and skill levels. Instructors will stress the importance of the fundamentals of fast-pitch softball and will focus on pitching, hitting, catching, and fielding.

The registration fee is $50 per child, which includes an official clinic T-shirt and visor, lunch to be served after the clinic, and two tickets to see the Gary SouthShore RailCats take on the Winnipeg Goldeyes on July 6th at 7:00 p.m. Registration forms can be picked up at U. The RailCats host the Joliet JackHammers today through Wednesday at U. S. Steel Yard in Gary. Monday and Wednesday's games start at 7:00 p.m. while Tuesday's game starts at 11:00 a.m. Tickets are available by calling (219) 882-BALL (2255).
