Golden State Warriors Assign Center DeMarcus Cousins to Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, CA - The back-to-back NBA Champion Golden State Warriors have assigned center DeMarcus Cousins to the Santa Cruz Warriors, the team's NBA G League affiliate, both teams announced today.

Cousins will attend practice at Kaiser Permanente Arena today, and will be available in a group media availability session at approximately 12:45 p.m. Media interested in attending should contact Warriors PR.

Cousins, an eight-year NBA veteran, owns career averages of 21.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.43 steals and 1.22 blocks in 32.3 minutes over 535 games (513 starts) with the Sacramento Kings (2010-17) and New Orleans Pelicans (2017-18). The 6'11 center from Mobile, Alabama has not appeared in a game since suffering a left Achilles rupture on January 26, 2018 vs. Houston, and signed with the Golden State Warriors as a free agent on July 6, 2018.

The Warriors will host the Sioux Falls Skyforce this Friday, December 14 at Kaiser Permanente Arena (7:00 p.m. PST, NBC Sports Bay Area Plus).
