Northern Arizona Suns Acquire Trayvon Palmer

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Northern Arizona Suns announced today that they have acquired Trayvon Palmer from the available player pool. The NAZ Suns roster now stands at 12 players.

Palmer (6-6, 200 pounds) played two games for the Santa Cruz Warriors this season, averaging 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in 26.1 minutes. His best performance came on Dec. 1 against the Texas Legends, where he posted 17 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 39 minutes.

Last year, Palmer played professionally for the Worcester Wolves in the British Basketball League. There he started in all 36 games played, averaging 14.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals per contest.

The guard/forward played his last three collegiate years at Chicago State, where he played in 92 total games (79 starts). His best year came in his senior campaign, where he averaged 15.1 points and a team-leading 9.4 rebounds per game, achieving 14 double-doubles.

Palmer, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, native will get his first chance to play with the Suns on Tuesday, as the team hosts the Capital City Go-Go at the Prescott Valley Event Center at 6:30 p.m. MT.
