Harrisburg Senators News Release


The Senators were shut out 1-0 by the Hartford Yard Goats Wednesday afternoon at FNB Field. Hartford scored the only run in the game in the eighth inning on a double by Tyler Nevin. Harrisburg had only two runners reach second in the game and no runner to third. Jackson Tetreault started and pitched 5.1 scoreless innings followed by Andrew Lee. Luis Garcia had two hits in the game. Harrisburg had three base runners thrown out on the bases.

On Capitol Hill

Jackson Tetreault went 5.1 innings allowing four hits, four walks but no runs. He also struck out three.

Andrew Lee took the loss allowing the lone Hartford run. He went 2.2 innings and allowed three hits while striking out two.

Brad Boxberger pitched a scoreless ninth.

With the Gavel

Harrisburg had just four hits with Luis Garcia going 2-for-4.

The Sens went 0-for-1 with runners in scoring position. They had just six base runners.

Filibusters

- It's the second 1-0 game the Sens have played in their last six games. It's the fourth 1-0 the Senators have been involved in this season.

- With Andrew Stevenson appearing in the game, he becomes the 55th player to appear in a game for the Senators this season.

- Harrisburg leads the season series 8-3.

- With a win tomorrow night the Sens would win their third straight series.

The Senators play the Hartford Yard Goats in game three of a three-game series Thursday night at FNB Field at 7 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:50 a.m.
