Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announced today that G Scott Greenham (GREN-um) has been loaned to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). Greenham becomes the team's fourth player to reach the AHL this season and the second goaltender loaned to Houston after Matt Keetley appeared in two games for the Aeros earlier this month.
"We're happy he's getting a chance at the next level," said Condors Head Coach Matt O'Dette. "It's a good opportunity for him. He's been very poised and composed during his time here. We wish him all the best."
Greenham won his first two professional starts for the Condors, including a 36-save performance last night in a one-goal victory over the Stockton Thunder. He made 36 saves exactly one week ago in a 4-3 win over the Las Vegas Wranglers. His record stands at 2-0-0 with a 4.00 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage.
Earlier this month, the 24-year old netminder completed his collegiate career at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He finished as the school's career leader in wins (48), goals-against average (2.24), save percentage (.916), and shutouts (11).
The Addison, Ontario native departed for Chicago this morning and will join the Aeros for their game against the Rockford IceHogs tonight.
Last Road Game and It's Home for Three to Finish
The Condors play their final road game on Saturday. Game time is 7:30 p.m from Stockton. Tune in live for the broadcasts on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM.
Next Wednesday the team opens up a three-game home stand to finish the season, hosting the Alaska Aces for Blood Drive Night, sponsored by My 45 and KUZZ 107.9. Those who donate blood at Houchin Blood Bank during the month of March can get in to this game for just $1. Doors open at 6 p.m., the puck drops at 7.
