Preview: Chicago Express (30-26-7-4, 71pts) vs. Kalamazoo Wings (35-24-2-6, 78 points)

When: Puck drops at 7:30 pm, doors open at 6:30 pm

Where: Sears Centre Arena - 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway, Hoffman Estates, IL 60192

Tonight's Matchup:

The Express continue to battle for their playoff lives, looking for a second straight win against the North Division leading Kalamazoo Wings. The two teams matched up last night in Kalamazoo, with the Express jumping out to a 4-1 lead just 40 seconds into the second period. The Wings scored twice in the final half of the middle frame to bring the score to 4-3 at the start of the third period. Chicago got in penalty trouble in the final stanza, but the penalty kill, along with G Rob Madore, stood strong to help the Express to a 4-3 victory.

Express Notes:

The eight power plays surrendered by Chicago last night was the most they have given up in a single game since Feb. 26 when the Florida Everblades had 10 chances... G Rob Madore has faced the Wings three times in his professional career, collecting a 2-1-0 record with a .930 save percentage and one shutout... Last night's game in Kalamazoo was the final time of the regular season that the Express play at Wings Stadium. Chicago finished with a 4-3-1 record in Kalamazoo.

Devin DiDiomete signed:

The Express have signed LW DiDiomete to standard ECHL contract. The 5-11, 205 pound left winger has skated in 36 games with the Express this season, recording 242 PIM along with 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points. He picked up the first hat trick in Chicago Express history on February 2 in a 6-3 win over the Trenton Titans.

DiDiomete was released from the Express after being issued a suspension from the ECHL, but is eligible to play tonight for Chicago. He is expected to be in the lineup against Kalamazoo tonight.
