Goaltender Ryan Munce Reassigned to Mississippi

NORFOLK , VA - Today, Norfolk Admirals General Manager Claude Loiselle announced that goaltender Ryan Munce has been reassigned from the Admirals to the ECHL's Mississippi Sea Wolves.

Munce, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound native of Mississauga, Ontario, had joined Norfolk on December 19 for his second stint with the team. He appeared in one game on December 27 vs. Philadelphia in relief, stopping nine of ten shots without receiving a decision. Earlier this season, Munce played his first eight career AHL games with the Admirals, going 2-6-0 with a 2.99 GAA and .901 save percentage. He registered his first career AHL victory on October 13 at Albany.

Munce has appeared in six games with the Sea Wolves this season posting a 4-2-0 record with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .936 save percentage. The 22-year-old netminder was acquired by the Lightning from the Los Angeles Kings on January 20, 2007, in exchange for a 2008 fourth-round draft pick.

The Admirals are in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton tonight to face off against the Penguins at 6:05 p.m. They will return to Scope on Friday and Saturday night to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Both games begin at 7:15 p.m.
