
Icehogs make four player transactions

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Monday that the Blackhawks have assigned forward Colin Fraser to Rockford in the AHL.
Fraser had played in five games for the Blackhawks since his recall back on Nov. 29 posting seven minutes in penalties. He had appeared in 21 games for Rockford this season scoring seven goals and 10 points for the IceHogs.
Fraser was acquired by the Blackhawks along with defenseman Jim Vandermeer from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Alex Zhamnov back on Feb. 19, 2004.
In other IceHogs news, General Manager of Hockey Operations Al MacIsaac announced that goaltender Mike Brodeur has been re-assigned to Rockford, goalie Marty Magers was released from his 14-Day PTO and Steve Marr was re-assigned to the Hogs ECHL affiliate Pensacola Ice Pilots.
Brodeur played 10 games with the Blackhawks top affiliate in Norfolk last season, posting a 4-3-0 record with a 3.39 goals against average and .891 save percentage. In 12 games with the Ice Pilots this season, Brodeur is 2-6-0-1 with a .906 save percentage and a 3.40 goals against average.
Brodeur was Chicago's seventh round draft choice in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Marr played in both of Rockford's games over the weekend in Lake Erie against the Monsters. The re-call to Rockford on Friday was Marr's second of the season. Magers received his first career AHL call-up on Friday. The puckstopper backed up Corey Crawford in Lake Erie over the weekend.
Next Home Game: Friday, Dec. 14 vs. Rochester Americans. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. Rockford returns home to kick off a mini two-game homestand. Rochester makes their first and only visit to the MetroCentre on Friday. The meeting is the second and final of the regular season between the clubs.
