Goaltender Jared Coreau Assigned to Toledo Walleye

(Toledo, OH) - Goaltender Jared Coreau has been assigned to the Toledo Walleye from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. Toledo has also released goaltenders Brooks Ostergard and Neil Conway.

Coreau joins Toledo after appearing in one game for Grand Rapids; his professional debut. The 21-year-old goaltender spent the last three seasons in goal for the Northern Michigan Wildcats. Last year, the native of Perth, Ontario, started all 38 games for Northern Michigan, posting a 15-19-4 record, a 2.70 goals against average and .919 save percentage. The 6'4", 208 pound goaltender was awarded Most Valuable Player for the Wildcats last season and finished tenth in the nation with 2,181 minutes played.
