Road Warriors Announce Four Transactions

Greenville, SC: Today the Road Warriors have announced the subtraction of three players from their training camp roster and the addition of goaltender Connor Knapp.

Defenseman Jace Coyle has been traded to the Fort Wayne Komets for future considerations. The Hartford Wolf Pack have recalled Jeff Malcolm and in a separate transaction, Andrew Johnston was recalled by the Philadelphia Flyers to the Adirondack Phantoms. In addition, Connor Knapp was reassigned to the Road Warriors by the Buffalo Sabres.

Knapp, 23, returns to the Road Warriors to begin his second stint with the team. Last season, the then rookie goaltender appeared in 12 games with the Road Warriors posting a 5-7 record, a 3.05 GAA and a .909 save percentage. The most impressive statistics came in the playoffs where the York, New York native boasted a 2.71 GAA and a .922 save percentage. Prior to joining Greenville in mid-February, Knapp played seven games with the Rochester Americans. The 6'5'', 215 lbs. netminder was drafted in the sixth round by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The current 2013-2014 training camp roster is as follows:

Forwards (13): Guillaume Asselin, Sean Berkstresser, Bretton Cameron, Andrew Carroll, Ryan Garlock, Brandon Hynes, Jordie Johnston, Matthew Kirzinger, Josh Nicholls, Elgin Pearce, J.M. Rizk, Andrew Rowe and Michael St. Croix

Defensemen (8): Lee Baldwin, Brad Cole, Charlie Dodero, Ryan Hegarty, Sam Klassen, Mike Marcou, Samuel Noreau, and Bretton Stamler

Goaltenders (2): Carsen Chubak and Connor Knapp
