Condors Acquire D George Hughes from Orlando

CONDORSTOWN - The Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that the team has acquired D George Hughes from the Orlando Solar Bears in exchange for future considerations.
In other roster moves, the team has signed D Daniel Sobotka and C Chase Schaber to contracts, released F Preston Shupe and D Art Bidlevskii, and placed D Kyle Haines on the 21-day IR.
**George Hughes
6'2", 181 lbs. 24 years old, Westwood, Mass. Played four seasons at St. Lawrence University Led all NCAA defensemen in points (37) and assists (32) in 2012-13. Led team defensemen in assists (20) and points (24) in 2011-12. Tied for team lead among defensemen in goals (4) in 2011-12. Finished his career with 18g-87a-105pts in 150 games.
