
Goalie Michael Houser Returns to Ontario, Forward Joel Lowry Loaned to ECHL, Goalie Ray Emery Releas

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that goaltender Michael Houser has been recalled from his loan to the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL, forward Joel Lowry has been loaned to the Monarchs from the Reign by the Kings and goalie Ray Emery has been released from his professional tryout agreement.
Houser, 23, appeared in two preseason games with the Reign in October and went 8-3-0 in 11 appearances with the Monarchs with a 2.63 goals-against average and .913 save percentage. The Youngstown, Ohio, native skated with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) last season earning a 19-9-4 record with a 2.83 goals-against average and .900 save percentage.
Lowry, 24, appeared in five games with the Reign, recording two penalty minutes. A rookie out of Cornell University, the Calgary, Alberta, product was selected by the Kings in the fifth round (140th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Emery, 33, dressed in three games for the Reign going 1-1-1 with a 3.30 goals-against average and .878 save percentage.
The Ontario Reign battle the Charlotte Checkers tomorrow, Saturday, December 5 at 4:00 p.m. PT and Sunday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. PT at Bojangles' Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina.
On Saturday, December 12, the Reign open a four-game homestand and celebrate LA Kings Affiliation Night presented by the University of La Verne against the Bakersfield Condors at 6:00 p.m. at Citizens Business Bank Arena.
