Goal with 0.7 Seconds Left in OT Lifts Broncos

There was highlight reel goals, a 5-star fight and no shortage of drama in Regina January 1st.

Adam Brooks scored with .7 seconds left in overtime for the home team win.

Leading up to that, Bronco captain Jon Martin buried his league leading 27th of the season. Martin finished the game with a goal and an assist.

Newly acquired Lane Pederson scored his second in as many games. Scott Feser had the other Bronco goal. His second in as many games too.

Tyler Steenbergen had 2 assists in a losing cause for Swift Current.

Trailing 3-2 after the second, the Broncos tied the game just under 11 minutes into the 3rd with Pederson's goal. Scott Feser put the team ahead at the 13 minute mark.

Regina's Sam Steel tied the game with 1:00 left on the clock with the Regina net empty.

The Pats Adam Brooks sealed the deal for Regina with Steel getting the helper in OT.

Landon Bow made 33 saves and was named 2nd star of the game.

Swift Current's Cavin Leth and Regina's Jared McAmmond brought the crowd to their feet with an offensive minded tilt in the first period.

The bodies in sick bay continued to pile up for Swift Current as Calvin Spencer and Brandan Arnold left the game with injuries. Swift Current was already without the serivces of Glenn Gawdin, Cole Johnson and Jordan Harris.
