The Records: The Broncos are 12-20-3-1. They are 7-11-1-0 at home and 5-10-2-1 on the road. The Broncos sit 6th in the East Division and 11th in the East Conference.

The Broncos are 6 points behind Edmonton in the Eastern Wildcard standings for the 2nd playoff spot.

The Broncos beat Saskatoon in Saskatoon 6-4 Wednesday night. Swift Current has won their last two after an 3-2 overtime win vs Prince Albert Tuesday at home.

Regina is 4th in the Eastern Conference with a 16-16-3-3 record. The Pats hold one of 2 wildcard spots and are 4 points ahead of Edmonton. The Pats last game was a 6-5 shoot out loss in Prince Albert Wednesday.

Debrusk Dealt: The Broncos traded Jake Debrusk to Red Deer Sunday morning for 18 year old forward Lane Pederson, a 2017 1st round bantam pick and a 2016 3rd round pick. Debrusk had 9 goals and 17 assists in 24 games this year.

Schumacher Sent to Seattle: The Swift Current Broncos sent the rights to Andreas Schumacher to Seattle Sunday morning to free up a roster spot for an import.

New Face, Olhaver: After freeing up an import spot on the roster, the Broncos claimed 6'7 220 pound Gustav Olhaver off waivers Monday. Olhaver was released by Seattle after they acquired Andreas Schumacher.

Stotts called up: 2015 first round bantam pick Riley Stotts has joined the Broncos. Stotts was selected 10th overall in the WHL bantam draft this past May. In 21 games with the Winnipeg Wild of the MMHL Stotts has 15 goals and 13 assists.

VS The Pats: This is the 2nd meeting of the teams. The Broncos won the first 3-1 in Swift Current November 6th. Jon Martin had two goals while Tyler Steenbergen had two assists.

Sick Bay: Kaiden Elder is 1-2 weeks with an upper body injury. Jordan Harris and Cole Johnson are both out indefinitely with upper body injuries. Glenn Gawdin left Wednesday's game against Saskatoon with an apparent injury in the 2nd period and is expected to miss time.

Special Teams: The Bronco power play is 14.5%, which is 21st in the WHL. The penalty kill is 13th best in the league at 79.7%. The Bronco penalty kill at home is 76.7% while it operates at 82.5% on the road.

In 37 games, the Broncos have had 124 power plays, which is the lowest n the league.

Regina has a power play that scores 14.8% of the time, 20th in the league. The Pats PK is 76.5% which is 17th in the league.

Heward Back from World U17's: Broncos assistant coach Jamie Heward has rejoined the team after a stint as assistant coach of Team Canada Red at The 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Heward and Team Canada Red lost to Sweden in the Bronze Medal game Saturday.

Broncos Prospects Shine in U16 Challenge Cup: 3 members of the Broncos Bantam Draft class of 2015 took part in the U16 Challenge Cup in Calgary. Josh Prokop and Jacob Bernard-Docker were a part of Gold Medal winning Team Alberta. 2000 born prospect Riley Stotts led silver medal winners Team Manitoba in scoring. Broncos Assistant General Manager Jamie Porter and Goaltending Coach Derek Purfield also lent their talents to Team Alberta.

Central Scouting with an Eye on Max: Max Lajoie has again received an A level rating by NHL Central Scouting on the players to watch list. Lajoie is a late birthday 1997 born player who is draft eligible in 2016. Lajoie was one of six WHL prospects to get an A level rating last week. An A rating indicates a 1st round candidate in the NHL entry draft. Swift Current has had first round selections in the last two NHL entry drafts (Julius Honka in 2015, Jake Debrusk in 2015)

Drafted Broncos: Glenn Gawdin was selected in the 4th round by the St. Louis Blues in 2015.

Who's the Best? The WHL recently named its Top 125 players of all time. Fans can vote for their favorites. After fan voting, the greatest all time players in the WHL will be named this season. Former Broncos on the list are: Cody Eakin, Dan Lambert, Adam Lowry, Joe Sakic, Brian Sakic, Bryan Trottier and Tiger Williams.

The Roster: The Broncos have 24 players on their roster.

Imports are Artyom Minulin from Russia and Gustav Olhaver from Sweden.

20 year olds are Jon Martin, Scott Feser and Landon Bow.

There are 5 98's; Kaden Elder, Tyler Steenbergen, Cole Johnson and Colby Sissons and Artyom Minulin.
