
Go-Go Drop Afternoon Matinee to Skyhawks

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Capital City Go-Go (7-6), the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, were defeated by the College Park Skyhawks, 120-113, on Wednesday afternoon at the Entertainment and Sports Arena.
Capital City's offense got off to a hot start, as the team shot .500 from the field to lead 27-22 after one quarter of play. College Park reclaimed the lead, 31-29, with 9:40 left in the second quarter and would hold on to a four-point 57-53 lead at half after leading by as many as 9 points.
The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair which saw five ties and four lead changes. College Park would then go on a 23-10 run over the final 7:46 of the game, eventually holding on to earn the victory over Capital City 120-113.
The Go-Go were led by Jordan Goodwin's 21 points. TJ Cline (18), Isaiah Todd (16), Jordan Schakel (14), Jaime Echenique (14) and Joel Ayayi (10) all scored in double figures for the Go-Go.
All five starters scored in double-figures for the Skyhawks, led by Justin Tillman and Sharife Cooper who both tallied 24 points. Cat Barber (18), Jalen Johnson (17), Jahlil Tripp (15) and Langston Galloway (11) all registered double figure outings for College Park. Ninety-four of College Park's 120 points were scored by the starters.
The Go-Go will head to Grand Rapids as they square off against the Gold on Friday, February 11 at 7:00 p.m. College Park will continue its road trip with a visit to Westchester tomorrow.
