JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Kyle Glogoski struck out 10 over 5.2 innings and the BlueClaws topped Wilmington 3-2 on Thursday night at ShoreTown Ballpark.

Jersey Shore (43-68) has taken two of the first three in the series from Wilmington (56-54).

Glogoski (1-4), a right-hander from New Zealand, tied his season high with 10 strikeouts and earned his first win of the season.

The BlueClaws took the lead in the bottom of the second inning. With runners at first and third, Nicolas Torres was caught in a rundown between first and second, and during the rundown, Baron Radcliff raced home from third, beating the tag with a head-first slide.

Wilmington tied the game in the fourth on an RBI single from Leandro Emiliani. The run was unearned as an error on third baseman Freylin Minyety on a Kevin Strohschein grounder one batter earlier extended the inning.

The BlueClaws re-claimed the lead in the fourth on a SAC fly from Casey Martin.

Glogoski came out after 5.2 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, with a season high 10 strikeouts. Erubiel Armenta got four outs and turned it over to Jason Ruffcorn, who threw a scoreless eighth inning.

Jonathan Hughes came on in the ninth and threw 1-2-3 inning for his seventh save of the year.

Jared Carr had three hits while Baron Radcliff had two in the win.

Dustin Saenz (2-4) took the loss allowing three runs in five innings.

The teams continue their series on Friday night at 7:05 pm. RHP Matt Russell starts for Jersey Shore.
