Extra Time: The Gladiators are tied for the most overtime games played in the league with nine and have claimed a league high 15 points past regulation.
Special Teams: The Gladiators continue to own the best power play unit in the American Conference, scoring 32 times in 149 man-advantages (21.5%). The Gladiators also own the second best road penalty killing unit in the league, killing off 73 out of 83 (88%) opposition power plays away from home.
Leader: Adam Berti leads all Gladiators skaters with 27 points and is the first player to reach 20 assists on the season. He is also the second least penalized skater among active Gladiators.

Between the Pipes: Goaltender David Brown earned his first ever ECHL point and second professional point with an assist on Aaron Brocklehurst's goal against Florida on Sunday. Brown's only other professional assist came in the 2007-08 season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
Basement: The Gladiators remain in last place in the South Division with 33 points through 28 games, tied with Kalamazoo, Las Vegas, Stockton, and Alaska for the fewest games played in the league. South Carolina leads the division and league with 50 points through 35 games, the most games played in the league.
Power: Forward Scott Mifsud currently sits tied for 7th with David Creievich, who played with Mobile from 1995-2000, in Mobile/Gwinnett history with 22 power play goals and needs just four more to move into a tie for 6th with Jim Jackson (2003-2009) and Jeff Campbell (2004-2008).
Last Week's Games: December 26, South Carolina 3, Gwinnett 2 - L The Gladiators jumped out to a quick two-goal lead when rookie Matt Francis matched his season goals total with goals at 2:39 and 4:43 of the opening period and built the lead to three in the second on Pat Galivan's 13th of the season. Gwinnett, however, would squander that lead, allowing four unanswered South Carolina goals, including the tying and go-ahead goals 53 seconds apart in the third period for their eight loss on home ice. Matt Fornatero had two goals to lead the Stingrays, and Todd Ford stopped 35 shots in the victory.
December 27, Gwinnett 3, Florida 2 - W The Gladiators struck first in a highly physical game with Tim Miller's third goal of the year midway through the first period but would trail in the second after two unanswered Florida goals from Ryan Lang and Shea Guthrie. Aaron Brocklehurst evened the score at two at 14:08 of the second amid three second period fights. A scoreless third period gave way to overtime, where Matt Siddall scored the game winner at 1:48 of the extra frame for the Gladiators' first home win since a 4-2 win over Charlotte on December 6th. David Brown made a season-high 47 saves for his fifth victory of the year. The Gladiators were held scoreless on two power plays.
