This Week:

12/30 at Trenton, 7:00 p.m. - Home (0-1-0), Away (0-2-0)

The Chiefs will make their first visit to Trenton, third overall, in two months this Wednesday, and they will be looking to exorcise the demons that have plagued them at the Sun National Bank Center. Johnstown has lost six straight games in Trenton dating back to October 30, 2008. Over the losing streak the Chiefs have been outscored 24-10 and have not scored more than two goals in any of the games. In their most recent meeting, the Chiefs consistently pestered Devils goalie Dave Caruso by launching 43 shots on net but still came out on the wrong end of a 3-2 decision. The win by Trenton was its first win in regulation in Johnstown since the 2007-08 season.

12/31 vs. Elmira, 6:05 p.m. - Home (0-0-2), Away (0-2-0)

The Chiefs will host the Elmira Jackals for the second time in their annual New Year's Eve game. Johnstown and Elmira last met in the game on Dec. 31, 2007 with Elmira earning a 5-2 victory. If Thursday's game follows the trend of recent Johnstown-Elmira contests, it promises to be an exciting and dramatic game. The last two games in Johnstown, and last three overall, between the Chiefs and Jackals have gone to overtime and Elmira capturing three one-goal victories. In their last meeting former Jackal Chanse Fitzpatrick scored the tying goal with four seconds left in regulation. The Chiefs will be playing their 14th straight New Year's Eve game, 20th overall, and have a 13-3-3 record in the game since 1989.

1/2 vs. Cincinnati, 7:05 p.m. - Home (0-1-0), Away (1-0-0)

Cincinnati will be making its first appearance in Johnstown since the Chiefs' home opener on October 17 - a 2-0 Cincinnati win. Even though it's been nearly two months since the Chiefs and Cyclones last played, Johnstown will have a chance to start a winning streak against Cincinnati since they won the last meeting at U.S. Bank Arena 4-3. The Chiefs last won back-to-back games against the Cyclones on December 3 and 5, 2008 in Cincinnati, and last beat the Cyclones in Johnstown on March 13, 2009 by a score of 5-2. For Saturday's game the Chiefs are offering a 20/10 group ticket special. Since it's their first game of 2010, blocks of 20 tickets can be bought for just $10 per ticket. Orders can be placed through a Chiefs group sales representative.

Last Week: (0-2-0)

12/26 vs. Trenton: L 2-3

In his home debut with Johnstown, Chanse Fitzpatrick did what he does best, score a goal on the power play, to give the Chiefs a 1-0 lead at the midway point of the first period. It was Fitzpatrick's second goal in as many games since being acquired from Elmira. A two-goal outburst, 2:42 apart, by Jeff Prough gave the Devils a lead they wouldn't relinquish. After a Devils' power play goal stretched the lead to 3-1, the Chiefs answered in kind with a power play goal from Jim McKenzie at 14:54 of the second. Despite launching 43 shots on net, the Chiefs couldn't push another puck behind Dave Caruso and the Devils earned the one-goal victory.

12/27 vs. Toledo: L 3-7

26 seconds was all it took for the Walleye to grab a 1-0 lead last Sunday against the Chiefs, and they controlled the play from that point. Chris Zarb and Justin McCutcheon scored for the Chiefs to pull them with two at 3-1 and 4-2, but the Walleye used three goals in each the first and second periods to build a 6-2 lead after 40 minutes. The teams traded third period scores with Connor Shields picking up his team-leading 13th, and seventh on the power play, to set the final score.

Trevor Hendrikx' nine shots vs. Trenton on 12/26 were the most by a Chiefs' defenseman in a game this season. Chiefs are 4-for-15 (26.7 %) on the power play in their last three games. Connor Shields' power play goal on 12/27 was his team-leading seventh of the season and first since 12/12 vs. Gwinnett. 10 of Johnstown's next 13 games are against non-East Division opponents.
