
Gladiators Trio named to ECHL ALL Star Game

The ECHL announced the American Conference All Star team today and Gladiators defenseman Troy Milam along with forwards Guillaume Desbiens and Pascal Pelletier have been named to the American Conference team.
Milam makes his second ECHL All Star game appearance having represented the Gladiators at the 2004 ECHL All Star Game in Peoria, Illinois. The Lake Orion, Michigan native recorded a goal and an assist in his first All Star Appearance.
In his third professional season, Milam currently leads Gladiators defensemen in scoring with 2 goals and 18 assists for 20 in 26 games. He split last season between the Manchester Monarch of the AHL and the Reading Royals where he posted a combined 24 points in 61 games.
Pelletier, currently on recall to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League, makes his first trip to the ECHL All Star Game in his second professional season. He led the Gladiators in scoring at the time of his recall posting 30 points in 21 games off of 18 goals and 12 assists.
The Labrador City, Newfoundland native tied a Gladiators team record posting 4 goals and had five points in a 6-3 win over the Columbia Inferno on December 13th. His efforts earned him ECHL Player of the Week Honors for December 12th though the 18th becoming the second Gladiator to win the award.
A rookie from Alma, Quebec, Guillaume Desbiens currently leads Gladiators rookies in scoring with 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points. He posted at least a point in nine consecutive games from November 25th through December 13th.
Drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 4th round, 116th overall in the 2003 NHL draft, Desbiens was named the ECHL Player of the week for December 5th through the 11th posting 10 points for the Gladiators during that span.
The Fresno Falcons will host the 2006 ECHL All Star Game at the SaveMart Center in Fresno, California on January 25th at 10:30 p.m.
The Gwinnett Gladiators continue the 2005-06 ECHL season on the road as they travel to Florida to take on the Everblades on Saturday, December 31st at 7:30 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties.
