TRENTON, NJ - Ian Manzano picked a fine time to score his first goal of the season. His power play tally at 8:41 of the third period proved to be the difference as the Trenton Titans fell to the Johnstown Chiefs, 2-1, in front of 4,567 at Sovereign Bank Arena.

The Chiefs got on the board first when Jean Desrochers split the defense and broke in alone at 11:50 of the first period for his third goal of the season.

Despite outshooting Johnstown 15-6 in the second frame, the Titans could not get on the board.

Manzano then extended his team's lead to 2-0 in the final period when he deflected Tyler Kindle's slapshot over Dustin Traylen's shoulder.

The Titans pulled within one when Scott Bertoli, named a starter for the American Conference All-Star Team today, put home Scott Ford's rebound with 2:02 left in regulation.

Jonathan Boutin, also named to the American Conference All-Star, made sure Trenton came no closer finishing with 42 saves on the night.

Dustin Traylen stopped 26 of 28 as his record goes to 6-4-0

The Titans went 0-for-4 on the man advantage and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill.

The Trenton Titans finish 2005 against the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday, December 31 at 7:00pm. Fans can tune into WTSR 91.3FM or WBCB 1490AM or go to www.trentontitans.com to listen or watch live courtesy of b2 Networks.
