
Gladiators Trade Poli to Wheeling

The Gwinnett Gladiators traded forward Chris Poli to the Wheeling Nailers in exchange for future considerations.
Poli has earned five points (two goals, three assists) in 17 games with the Gladiators this season. He was acquired by the Gladiators in a trade with the Trenton Devils on September 2nd for future considerations.
Poli earned 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists) in 36 games for the Trenton Devils last season. He picked up 31 penalty minutes for the Devils during that span. Poli appeared in eight games for the Devils during the 2008-09 season and recorded six points (five goals, one assist) for Trenton.
The Medfield, Massachusetts, native joined the Devils during the 2007-08 season after he completed his senior season at Brown University. In 11 games with the Devils, Poli collected four goals and had 13 penalty minutes.
At Brown, the 6-foot-1, 210-pound forward ranked third on the team in assists with 12 in 2007-08, fourth in points in with 18 (six goals, 12 assists) and played in all 31 games. Poli finished his collegiate career with 49 points (17 goals, 32 assists) in 118 games with Brown University.
The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
