
Gladiators Sign Spivak; Release Training Camp Roster

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gwinnett Gladiators on Friday announced the signing of Central Hockey League All-Rookie defenseman Daniel Spivak, and released the preliminary Training Camp roster for the 2013-14 season.
Spivak (pronounced SPEE-vak), 25, spent his rookie season on the blue line for the Fort Worth Brahmas of the CHL. In 46 games he scored three goals, and picked up 10 assists to go along with a +9 rating, and was named to the CHL All-Rookie Team for his efforts. Prior to that the Thornhill, Ontario native skated in 122 games over four years at R.I.T. along with current Gladiator forward C.J. Lee.
Gwinnett's Camp roster features 21 skaters, including three Coyotes prospects and five try-out players. Those names include 2012-13 Gladiators Brian Elser and Brad Nunn, Marietta, Ga. native Scott Howe, and defensemen Daniel Christensen and Dustin Hopfner.

The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the nation's premier "AA" hockey league and are affiliated with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
