
Aces Announce 2013-14 Training Camp Roster

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, proud ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League, today announced the roster for the team's 2013 training camp to be held in Anchorage.
The active roster includes 24 skaters and three goaltenders, which features 14 players who suited up for Alaska last season en route to a Brabham Cup title for the ECHL's top regular season record. The Aces will open the preseason on Oct. 8, beginning at 7:15 p.m. in a two game and two day series at Sullivan Arena against the Cincinnati Cyclones at Sullivan Arena.

The Aces also announced that the team has signed right wing Casey Mignone, right wing Ross Ring-Jarvi and goaltender Micah Perletti to tryout offers.
Mignone, 25, suited up in 40 games last season for Augusta of the Southern Professional Hockey League and was tied for second in team scoring with 25 points and 85 penalty minutes. He also added 19 points in 15 games with Cape Cod of the Federal Hockey League.
The 6-foot, 185-pound forward has 106 points (44g-62a) and 128 penalty minutes in 108 FHL games with Cape Cod and Brooklyn and has 26 points (11g-15a) in 45 SPHL games with Augusta and Pensacola. He previously skated in 100 games for Westfield State University and Lebanon Valley College (NCAA) from 2006-10 and collected 80 points and 181 penalty minutes.
Ring-Jarvi, 26, led the Tonsberg Vikings (Norway) with 21 goals and was second with 37 points (21g-16a) in 43 games last season. He made his pro debut in the Central Hockey League with the Rapid City Rush in 2011-12 and skated in one playoff game.
The Anoka, Minn. native was a captain at Gustavus Adolphus College (NCAA) during his 2011-12 senior season, when he was named an AHCA All-American and MIAC Player of the Year in a vote by the league's coaches. He was an All-Conference selection for all four seasons of his career and racked up 130 points and 97 penalty minutes in 115 career games.
Perletti, 24, is a 5-foot-11, 185-pound goaltender from Anchorage. He was with the Aces in training camp and suited up for the Utah Grizzlies as an emergency backup goaltender last season.
The Aces will begin their 2013-14 season at home on Friday, Oct. 18 at Sullivan Arena when they host the San Francisco Bulls.
