
Thunder Reveal Training Camp Roster and Schedule

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders, has announced its roster and schedule for the team's upcoming 2013 training camp.
There are 27 players currently on the training camp roster.
Forwards (15): Matt Bergland, Mitch Bruijsten, J.P. Burkemper, Andrew Clark, Mathieu Gagnon, Ryan Hayes, James Henry, Garet Hunt, Brayden Irwin, Nick Larson, Alex MacLeod, Austin Mayer, Colin Reddin, Ben Rosen and Adam Stuart,
Defensemen (9): Bill Baker, Shawn Boutin, Ryan Constant, Nathan Deck, Sean Escobedo, Kevin Noble, Landon Oslanski, Michal Spacek and Maxim Topol
Goalies (3): Dan Clarke, Brian Foster and Parker Milner.
There are 9 returning players who played with the Thunder last season, which include Bergland, Boutin, Clark, Constant, Deck, Hayes, Hunt, Noble and Oslanski.
The Thunder's training camp begins Saturday afternoon where players will meet with head coach Rich Kromm. Ice will be available for an informal skate starting at 4:00 PM. There will be an open house starting at that time with Thunder sales staff available for fans interested in exploring seating options and ticket plans. The open house runs until 5:30 PM.
Sunday, the team will go through physicals, concussion testing and fitness testing. Monday's schedule features the first team practices where players will be divided into groups ahead of Wednesday's intra-squad scrimmage. Tuesday features two, hour-long evaluation scrimmages.
The first chance for fans to see the Thunder in action comes on Wednesday, October 9th when the Thunder hosts its first ever "Black and White" game. The event is free for all fans, with head coach Rich Kromm's post-game press conference open to the public as well. The intra-squad game starts at 6:30 PM with Stockton Arena doors opening at 6:00 PM.
The Stockton Thunder open the regular season at home for "Opening Night", with the unveiling of the Western Conference Championship banner on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7:30 p.m. against the Colorado Eagles at Stockton Arena.
A two time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence" and defending Western Conference Champion, the Thunder led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew over 200,000 fans for the eighth consecutive season in 2012-2013.
