Gladiators Axe Sea Wolves 3-2

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves lost to the Gwinnett Gladiators by a score of 3-2 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday evening.

Jeff Campbell got Gwinnett on the board early when he fired a one-timer past Sea Wolves goaltender Morgan Cey off of a Jim Jackson pass at 3:16. Lou Dickenson would score his second goal in as many night for the Gladiators as he banged home the rebound of a shot from Ryan Mahrle at 7:33 of the second period.

Mississippi cut the lead to one when Chase Trull drove the net and pounded a loose puck past Gwinnett goalie Dan Turple at 8:54 of the second period.

Derek Nesbitt scored the game0winner when his one-timer beat Cey high to the glove side at 1:35 of the third period.

With the Sea Wolves on the power play, Lance Monych drew the Sea Wolves within one with a power-play goal at 19:36 of the third period, but Gwinnett held on for 24 seconds to secure the victory.
