Gladiators Assigned Pair from AHL Portland

Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators have been assigned goaltender Louis Domingue and defenseman Justin Weller from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League. In addition, the Gladiators have signed forward Tony Lucia.
Domingue is in his first professional season after he earned a 23-8-4 record last year in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Quebec Remparts. He notched a .914 save percentage and a 2.61 goals against average in the QMJHL to rank fourth among netminders last season.
In five seasons in the QMJHL, the Mont St-Hilaire, Quebec native compiled 94 wins, recorded 42 losses and seven ties. He has also posted a career .914 save percentage with Moncton and Quebec.
Domingue was drafted by the Coyotes in the 5th round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft with the 138th overall pick.
Weller skated with the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League in each of the past five seasons. Last year in Red Deer, Weller earned eight points (three goals, five assists) in 39 games.
In five seasons in the WHL, Weller notched 41 points (nine goals, 32 assists) in 259 career junior games.
The Daysland, Alberta native was drafted by the Coyotes in the 4th round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft with the 105th overall pick.
Lucia earned 27 points (eight goals, 19 assists) in 46 games last season with the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League. He also notched a +8, plus/minus rating with Worcester.
The Plymouth, Minnesota native has skated with Worcester in each of the past three seasons. Lucia earned 82 points (34 goals, 48 assists) in 160 career collegiate games with the University of Minnesota from 2006-2010.
The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
