October 5, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release

Greenville, SC - The Road Warriors fell to the Gwinnett Gladiators tonight by a score of 4-2 on a night highlighted by the donation of the Children's Museum of the Upstate of over $30,00. This total includes the matching donation of team owner, Fred Festa.

Gwinnett took the lead 9:14 into the game off a Doug Jones goal and never looked back. Brandon Wong, Greenville's leading scorer from last season, tied the game in the second period. It only took Gwinnett nine seconds to retake the lead for good. Former Road Warrior Kale Kerbashian would find the back of the net in a period filled penalties. 12 different penalties would be handed out in the second period. T.J. Reynolds attempted to drop the gloves twice and successfully did against Clackson resulting in a power play for Gwinnett. Dustin Jackson would cash in with a slap shot from the point that beat Adam Courchaine glove high. Courchaine's counterpart Gwinnett goaltender, Louis Dominque, was outstanding throughout the game and stopped 28 of 29 shots faced. Doug Jones would score his second in an empty net to ice the game for the Gladiators. Kevin Noble added a power play goal for the Road Warriors with one second left to finalize the 4-2 score.

The Road Warriors will finish preseason action on October 8th at 8 p.m. The regular season opens on October 12th in Trenton.
