
Gillies Named to Team Canada Roster

Hockey Canada and the Canadian Hockey League announced on Thursday the 22 players that will make up Canada's National Junior Team for the 2008 World Junior Hockey Championships in the Czech Republic and the list includes Blades forward Colton Gillies.
The 6'4", 193lbs. Surrey, BC native is currently leading the Blades with 11 goals on the season to go along with 7 assists in 26 games. A 1st round, 16th overall draft choice of the Minnesota Wild, he already represented Team Canada this year as a member of the Canada-Russia Super Series.

Canada will play its first game of this year's tournament on Boxing Day, December 26th, 2007 at 1:30pm EST.
