Berg Recalled, MacPherson Reassigned

The Saskatoon Blades announced on Thursday that they have recalled 16 year old defenseman Mitch Berg from the Saskatoon Contacts and have reassigned Colton MacPherson to the Estevan Bruins of the SJHL.

Berg, the Blades 1st round choice (15th overall) in the 2006 WHL Bantam Draft, recorded 4 goals and 12 assists in 25 games with the Saskatoon Contacts this season. A local product from Saskatoon, SK, Berg stands at 6'3" and is 204lbs.

MacPherson appeared in 25 games in 2007/08 with the Blades where he recorded 2 assists and 10 penalty minutes.

Saskatoon continues to have 24 players on their roster, consisting of 2 goalies, 8 defenseman, and 14 forwards.
