Gill Heads Back to Worcester

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce goaltender Riley Gill has been loaned to the Worcester Sharks of the AHL.

Entering his first full season as a professional, Gill participated in the training camp of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Gill being loaned to Worcester marks the fifth time this season that a member of the K-Wings has been sent up to the AHL.

Before joining Kalamazoo earlier this month, Gill started the season with the Victoria Salmon Kings. On the season, Gill has made six appearances, earning a record of 4-2-0-0 with a goals-against-average of 2.50 and a save percentage of 0.917.

In Gill's absence, the K-Wings have signed goaltender Tom Schaul. Schaul played three seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Oklahoma and has dressed this season with the Indiana Blizzard of the All-American Hockey League and the with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

The K-Wings will battle the Greenville Road Warriors at 7:30 p.m. tonight, Friday, November 26h at Wings Stadium during Salvation Army Kettle Kick-Off Night. Tonight's game also coincides with Frugal Fan Friday, featuring $1 beers and $1 hot dogs and a Win-Win Night, presented by WNWN. If Kalamazoo wins, all fans in attendance will receive a FREE ticket to the K-Wings contest on December 1st versus the Florida Everblades. Also this evening, one lucky fan will receive two FREE tickets to anywhere Direct Air flies.
