
Gladiators Deny Stingrays 1-0

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
North Charleston, SC -The Gwinnett Gladiators (11-4-0-4) handed the South Carolina Stingrays (6-10-1-0) their third straight shutout loss 1-0 Friday night at the North Charleston Coliseum.
After a scoreless 40 minutes of play, Gladiators forward Andy Brandt buried the only goal of the game 1:16 into the third period sneaking a shot between the pads of Stingrays goaltender Shane Connelly from the bottom of the left-wing circle. Forward Matt Francis recorded the lone assist.
Connelly received the loss stopping 12 of 13 Gladiators shots. Gwinnett netminder Billy Sauer recorded his first professional shutout stopping all 32 Stingrays chances. The Stingrays finished the night 0-for-3 on the power play while Gwinnett ended the contest 0-for-1.
