Giants Make Roster Move In Goal

The Vancouver Giants today announced that goaltender Brendan Jensen has been reassigned to the Wenatchee Wild of the North American Hockey League. In 6 games with the Giants, the 16 year old Jensen had a record of 3-2-1-0 with 2.97 goals against average and a.865 save percentage.

Giants General Manager Scott Bonner said "It's a great opportunity for Brendan to play more and develop his skills. He will also have a chance to play in a National Championship tournament" The Wild will host the Robertson Cup NAHL Championship Tournament May 3-9, 2010. That event will crown the Tier 2 Junior A Champion for USA Hockey.

The Giants have added 18 year old goaltender Mark Segal to their roster, he has been playing with the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCJHL. Segal, a Vancouver native, is 6'1'' 180 pounds and has posted a record of 4-2-0 with the Clippers with a 2.31 goals against average and.922 save percentage. Bonner says "Mark was outstanding in our training camp and through the pre season, and has made huge strides this season, and we think he will be a good fit for our team right now"

Segal will join the Giants immediately.
