Generals to host Second Annual "Spaghetti on Ice" Sunday

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League are proud to announce the 2ND Annual "Spaghetti on Ice" on Sunday, February 20th at Perani's Arena. Admission is $5.00 for children, $10.00 for adults. All proceeds raised will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The doors open at 3:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 4:00 p.m.

The Flint Generals will serve as celebrity waiters and hosts throughout the afternoon serving dinner on ice, in uniform, to all customers attending this special fundraiser. The United Auto Workers (UAW) are joining forces with the Muscular Dystrophy Association to raise awareness and to break last year's total to assist those citizens locally who may be stricken with a neuro-muscular disease.

"The Flint Generals are proud to host "Spaghetti on Ice" for the second consecutive season," said Vice President & Head Coach, Robbie S. Nichols. "We would like to the U.A.W. Region 1-C, Mr. Bob Roth and his membership for joining us in this fundraiser. The Muscular Dystrophy Association has many local citizens involved in these efforts led by Nicole Hoste-Breslin, Angie Gronski and Kathly Eiferle and we support the efforts of the M.D.A. in the fight to find a cure."

Some of the local businesses that have given of their services for "Spaghetti on Ice" include Barb's Box Lunches; Clark's Store Fixtures; Italia Gardens; Roma Pizzeria; Salvatore Scallopini; Sam's Club; Little Caesars; Luigi's; Latina's Pizzeria and Restaurant; Pesto's Bar and Grill; Ruggeros' Sam's Italian Restaurant; Shap's Family Restaurant.

The Generals return to Perani's Arena for a pair of games on Friday, February 18, 2005 against the Richmond Riverdogs and Saturday, February 19, 2005 against the Kalamazoo Wings with both games starting at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are on sale at any TicketMaster location.
