
Generals to hold awards night ceremony

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League honored the 2004-2005 players in pre-game festivities as a part of "Awards Night Ceremonies" prior to the start of the regular season finale against the Danbury Trashers on Saturday night at Perani's Hockey World Arena & Event Center. Team President/Owner Dr. Khaled M. Shukairy amd Vice President/Head Coach Robbie S. Nichols represented the Generals' administration in award presentation. The award recipients and Generals' guest presenters are listed below.
Community Service Award: Bobby Reynolds and Adam Sturgeon (Ms. Wendy Sparks, Ross Automotive Supply)
Best Defenseman: J.P. Morin (Mr. Eric Balance, Arbys' Restaurants)
Most Improved Player: Mike Kinnie (Mr. Paul Lee, Clio Computers)
Unsung Hero: Brent Currie (Dan & Maria Koteles, Neighborhood Carpet & Flooring Center)
Most Popular: John DiPace (Mr. Andy Weir, John P. O'Sullivan Distributing)
Leading Scorer: Bobby Reynolds (Mr. David Bonter, G.L.C. Trophies)
Iron Man Award: Bobby Reynolds, John DiPace, Adam Sturgeon and Mike Tobin (Mr. Andy Charlton, Auto Interior Decorators, Inc.)
Rookie of the Year: Mike Kinnie (Mr. Mike Hoedeman, Taco Bell Restaurants)
Doug Manchak Memorial/Most Valuable Player Award: Rob Valicevic
