
Outlaws win home finale to end inaugural season

The Kansas City Outlaws posted a 1-2-0 record in the final week of the regular season to close out their inaugural campaign with a record of 28-45-7. The week began with a 4-3 home loss to Fort Wayne on Wednesday. The Outlaws concluded the road portion of their schedule on Friday with a 5-3 loss to Port Huron. On Sunday, the Outlaws second largest crowd of the season saw Kansas City score a season high eight goals en route to an 8-1 victory over the Fort Wayne Komets. Kansas City finished the season in fifth place in the UHL Western Division with 63 points. The Outlaws TENATIVE home opener for the 2005-2006 season is scheduled for Wednesday November 23 (opponent TBD).
LEADING OUTLAWS IN THE UNITED HOCKEY LEAGUE
Four Outlaws ranked in the United Hockey League's top twenty in several statistical categories. Joe Seroski was tied for third in the league with 42 goals and was second with 21 power play goals. Jason Ruff finished the season fourteenth in league scoring with 29 goals and 51 assists for 80 points. Goaltender Maxime Gingras ranked sixteenth with a 3.18 goals against average. Gingras was also fifth with 1628 saves and second in shoot-out wins with seven. Mark Lee finished third in rookie scoring with 67 points. Lee was second among rookies with 47 assists.

OUTLAWS RAISE FUNDS FOR THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
Prior to the start of their home finale on Sunday, the Outlaws presented a check for $929.50 to the American Cancer Society. The money was raised from single game ticket sales during the month of March. Miss Teen Kansas, Haley Hannah also presented the American Cancer Society with a check for $1550 from selling tickets to the April 10th game.

Season tickets for the Outlaws 2005 â 2006 are on sale now. Half season ticket packages begin at $200 and full season tickets begin at $400. In addition, the first 200 accounts that renew or purchase a FULL season ticket will receive free parking. OUTLAWS ASSIST JUVENILE DIABETES
The April 1st fundraiser that the Outlaws held in conjunction with the Emilie Rosebud Diabetes Research Foundation was a tremendous success. The Outlaws helped raise over $60,000 from the live and silent auctions during their April 1st game against Quad City. All funds that were raised will go to the Emilie Rosebud Diabetes Research Foundation.
