OTTAWA - RHP Geoff Geary was optioned to the Lynx today by the Philadelphia Phillies. RHP Ryan Cameron has been transferred to Double-A Reading.
Geary, 30, was 1-2 with a 5.31 ERA in 37 games with the Phillies this season. Last year, he reached career highs in wins (7), innings (91.1), games (81) and strikeouts (60). Geary finished tied for second among National League relievers in innings, third in winning percentage, tied for fourth in wins and tied for sixth in games played. This is his 10th professional season.
Cameron, 29, has no record and a 8.00 ERA in six appearances with the Lynx and he is 0-1 with one save and a 6.37 ERA in 19 games with the R-Phils this season. Last year, Cameron spent the entire season with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre where he went 6-2 with a 3.19 ERA and seven saves. This is Cameron's 11th professional season.
