Gazdag scores fifth career MLS goal, Andre Blake records four saves in win

CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union beat CF Montreal 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Montreal Olympic Park. Montreal opened up the scoring in the 32nd minute with a goal by Lassi Lappalainen, assisted by Ismaël Koné. The Union responded with a goal by Alejandro Bedoya in the 53rd minute. The midfielder drove a left footed shot from the center of the box to score his 17th career goal with the Union. Daniel Gazdag recorded a second Union goal in the 56th minute, assisted by Julian Carranza. This was Carranza's first career assist with the Union. Goalkeeper Andre Blake recorded four saves in the win.

The Union are back at home to take on the San Jose Earthquakes at Subaru Park on Saturday, March 12th (7:30 p.m. ET / PHL17).
