San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (0-1-0) will host the Columbus Crew (1-0-0) at PayPal Park today at 2:30 p.m. PT, presented by Fastmetrics. The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).
Today's match is the first between the Quakes and Crew since Aug. 3, 2019, a 1-1 draw. San Jose will look to maintain their undefeated record vs. Columbus at PayPal Park (2-0-1). Additionally, the Earthquakes are unbeaten in seven straight home matches against Columbus (4-0-3) dating back to a 3-0 loss in August 2009. The seven-game run is San Jose's longest active home unbeaten run against any single opponent.
The Earthquakes will need to replace defender Nathan, who suffered a torn meniscus in last Saturday's season opener vs. the New York Red Bulls. He had surgery on Monday and is expected to miss up to two months.
