Gauthier-Leduc, Weller Get the Call

DULUTH, Ga. - Gladiators defensemen Jerome Gauthier-Leduc, and Justin Weller were reassigned to the American Hockey League on Saturday.

Gauthier-Leduc (pronounced go-tee-eh leh-duke), 21, heads back to Rochester for his second stint with the Americans this season. The Quebec native appeared in 38 games with the Amerks before being assigned to the Gladiators by the NHL's Buffalo Sabres on February 20th. Gauthier-Leduc had one goal and three assists in eight games with the Gladiators.

Weller, 22, heads to the AHL for the first time in his pro career. The second-year defenseman had two goals, seven assists, and was a +2 in 41 games this season for the Gladiators. As a rookie, the Daysland, Alberta native had two goals and nine assists to go with a +7 rating in 65 games last season for Gwinnett. He also appeared in 10 playoff games during Gwinnett's run to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The Gladiators wrap up their season series with the Florida Everblades Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Germain Arena. The next home game for Gwinnett is Friday, March 14th at 7:05 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center against the South Carolina Stingrays. The Gladiators are members of the ECHL, the nation's premier "AA" hockey league and are affiliated with the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. All home games are played at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
