ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Gerald Coleman earned a 26 save shutout and outdueled Laurent Brossoit to lift the Alaska Aces (36-16-4, 74 points) to a 3-0 victory over the Bakersfield Condors before 5,308 fans at Sullivan Arena on Friday night.

Coleman's shutout, his first of the season to help the Aces tie a single-season club record (10, set in 2005-06), improved Alaska's regular season record to 4-1-0.

Two power play strikes (Brad Richard and Nick Mazzolini) helped seize momentum early, while Peter Sivak led the offense with a three point game, including a shorthanded goal.

Brad Richard pumped the game's first goal through Brossoit's five hole at 8:16 of the first period, lifting the Aces on a power play goal at the left circle after he corralled Nick Mazzolini's saucer feed that penetrated the Condors penalty kill set-up.

Mazzolini then cleaned up a rolling puck in the slot for the Aces' second power play goal of the game, 6:14 into the second period for a 2-0 lead after Drew MacKenzie was denied on two good looks at the net.

Bakersfield threatened to get back into the game, late in the period, but Sivak's strip of Collin Bowman at the blueline and subsequent breakaway goal padded the lead at 3-0 with 25.6 seconds left on a backhanded deke through Brossoit's five hole.

Coleman, along with a patient and disciplined Aces defense, kept the Condors limited to eight shots in the third period to seal the victory.
