Garon Recalled by Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens, a parent club of the Hamilton Bulldogs, have recalled AHL All-Star goaltender Mathieu Garon from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

Garon, a 25-year-old native of Gander, Quebec has enjoyed a great season in Hamilton, earning 15 wins, 2 losses and 2 ties, a 1.77 goals against average and a 0.937 save percentage. The 6'2, 192 pound goaltender ranks first in AHL goals against average, second in save percentage and second in wins. Garon was voted by the fans as the starting goaltender for the Canadian AHL All-Star Team at the 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic to be held February 2nd and 3rd in Portland, Maine.
