The Manitoba Moose announced that they have recalled right winger Justin Morrison from the Columbia Inferno of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

Morrison, 23, has been playing for Columbia since the start of the 2002-03 season. He was assigned to the Inferno on October 9/02 and had played in 40 ECHL games and registered 55 points (20 goals and 35 assists) with 39 penalty minutes. The Los Angles, CA native was the Inferno's second leading scorer and was selected as an ECHL All-Star. In the ECHL All-Star Game played on Tuesday, he pocketed two goals and captured two individual awards during the All-Star Skills competition. Morrison won the puck control relay and was named the fastest skater with a time of 14.61 seconds.

The 6'3", 220 lb forward had 19 multi-point games this season and was tied for ninth in the ECHL scoring race with 55 points.

The rugged winger played last season with the Moose and had 10 goals and nine assists in 64 AHL games in his rookie campaign. He had one goal in seven games during the 2002 AHL Playoffs.
