Bulldogs Down Manitoba, 5-3

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


The Hamilton Bulldogs had their franchise high 14-game road unbeaten streak snapped on Friday night as they dropped a 5-3 decision to the Manitoba Moose. It was the first road loss the Bulldogs had suffered in two months, dating back to November 24th when Hamilton was edged 1-0 by the Crunch in Syracuse. The Bulldogs' record on the road now stands at an AHL best 18-5-1-1.

Michael Ryder led the way offensively for the Bulldogs scoring two goals and adding one assist. Ryder leads the Bulldogs in scoring during the month of January with 7 goals, 7 assists and 14 points. Scoring Hamilton's other goal was Tony Salmelainen. Bulldogs' assists went to Jarret Stoll (2) and Bill Lindsay.

The Moose had goals from five different players including Chris Herperger, Jason King, Jimmy Roy, Nathan Smith and Zenith Komarniski.

In goal Ty Conklin made 17 saves on 21 shots for the Bulldogs. Eric Fichaud replaced Conklin at the 14:51 mark of the second period and made 6 saves for Hamilton. Tyler Moss earned the win for the Moose stopping 15 shots on the night.
