12/23/2016 10:07 AM - WHO: Adirondack Thunder (16-6-2-3) vs. Reading Royals (14-11-1-1)

WHAT: ECHL REGULAR SEASON GAME

WHEN: Friday, December 23, 2016 @ 6:00 PM

WHERE: Glens Falls Civic Center - Glens Falls, NY

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: The Thunder and Reading Royals square off for the first time, the first of nine matchups between the two teams this season after they saw their game on Tuesday cancelled. Last season saw 12 head-to-head games, with the Thunder posting a 7-4-1 record in those matchups, good for a 15-11 point advantage for the season.

AN UNUSUAL SCHEDULE: The Thunder faced an unusual obstacle in their schedule as they saw their home game on Tuesday against Reading canceled due to building damage at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The Thunder will now open their season series against the Royals tonight and will reschedule Tuesday's game at a later date.

WOLFE OF GLEN ST: Thunder forward Greg Wolfe set a season high with three points in last night's victory, including the game-winning goal in overtime with less than five seconds remaining. After a slow start to the season, Wolfe has heated up as of late with nine points (3-6-9) over his last nine games played.

EIGHT KRAVY NIGHTS: Adirondack Thunder forward Dennis Kravchenko remained hot last night with the second three point game of his ECHL career. The UMass-Amherst product picked up a trio of assists, including the primary marker on Wolfe's overtime winner. On the season, Kravchenko has now collected 12 points (5-7-12) over 11 games played, including nine (3-6-9) in his past five.

FOR PETE'S SAKE: Thunder Captain Peter MacArthur picked up another goal in last night's victory, as he opened the scoring with a first period deflection. MacArthur's goal is his ninth of the season, already surpassing his total from the 2015-16 season. The Clifton Park native has now amassed 15 points (8-7-15) over his last 14 games played.

A ROYAL FLUSH: In the season series against Reading in 2015-16, the Thunder were led offensively by forward Greg Wolfe, who amassed eight points (3-5-8) and a +6 rating in 10 games. Forward James Henry collected six points (1-5-6) in eight games, while defenseman Patch Alber led the team from the blueline with a team high six assists in 12 games played.

FAMILIAR FACES: The Thunder will take on a pair of former players tonight as goaltender Drew Fielding and winger Matt Wilkins face the Thunder for the first time as visiting players. Fielding appeared in 25 games with the Thunder during the 2015-16 season, where he amassed an 11-11-2 record between the pipes, with a .914 save percentage and a 2.68 goals against average. Fielding also appeared in one Kelly Cup Playoff contest. Wilkins skated in two regular season games with the Thunder during the 2015-16 season after he finished his collegiate career at Union College.
