TULSA, OK - The Colorado Eagles shutout the Tulsa Oilers for the second straight night with a 1-0 victory Saturday over the Oilers at the BOK Center.

Colorado outshot Tulsa 13-7 in the opening period and the Eagles scored the game's first goal close to the midway point of the frame, when Casey Pierro-Zabotel won an offensive zone faceoff and Michael Sdao fired a shot past Oilers goaltender Jamie Phillips from the left point.

The score remained 1-0 after two, as Phillips stopped all 13 Eagles chances in the second period. Colorado goaltender Clarke Saunders stopped all six Oilers shots in the frame and extended his shutout streak to over 100 consecutive minutes.

Saunders was tested in the third period, but kept the puck out of the net to seal his second shutout in as many nights. He made 16 saves in the final stanza and 29 in the game. Phillips stopped 28 of 29 in the loss.

The Oilers travel to Missouri Monday for a 7:05pm tilt at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Tulsa then returns home to host the Allen Americans at 7:05pm Tuesday at the BOK Center. The Oilers finish off the week with a Friday night game in the Quad Cities against the Mallards before Christmas.
