*Torres' Big Night Leads Comeback Win* BOX SCORE HIGHLIGHTS
The Thunder rallied from a 4-0 deficit on the strength of a game-tying three-run home run from SS Gleyber Torres and Cale Coshow locked down his seventh save of the season in a 7-4 comeback win for the Thunder in front of 5,278 fans on Saturday night at ARM & HAMMER Park.
The Thunder rally started with a walk from Dante Bichette Jr., and runners were on the corners when Thairo Estrada stepped to the plate in the fifth inning. Estrada plated Bichette Jr. with a sacrifice fly to center field and after Jake Cave was retired, Torres smashed a three-run home run over the billboards in left field to tie the game at four.
With the game locked at four, the Thunder scored three times in the seventh inning. Estrada led off the frame with a walk and Jake Cave followed with a double up the alley in right-center field. Torres then served a base hit to right field to score Cave and stole second two pitches later to get himself into scoring position. After a pitching change, Miguel Andujar reached on an error and Torres scampered around the bases to make it a 7-4 Thunder lead.
After Justus Sheffield gave the Thunder five innings in his start, but, it was the bullpen effort of Cale Coshow in the top of the eighth inning that held the game at 7-4 when he got Jeff McVaney to bounce out with the bases loaded. Coshow finished his seventh save of the season with a pair of ninth inning strikeouts.
Jake Cave, in his return to the field following a spring training knee injury, went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored in the victory. Gleyber Torres had a season-high 4 RBI's.
