Bethlehem, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks will be heading back on the road this weekend as the take the short trip down Rte. 222 to once again face their rival the Reading Express. The Steelhawks have taken the first two victories in the series this season and hope to make it three for three in 2012
The Express (1-7) are coming off their first victory of the season as they defeated the Cedar Rapids Titans in front of their home crowd last weekend. Led at Quarterback by Tim Bailey, and with the emergence of WR Keith Stokes, the Express Offense has been able to put up solid points in the last few weeks. The Steelhawks defense will look to key on Stokes, and continue to stand as one of the top rushing defenses in the IFL/
Lehigh Valley (4-4) is coming off a hard fought 54-51 defeat in quadruple overtime this past weekend against the Chicago Slaughter. It was the longest game in IFL history. The team hopes to go back over .500 with a victory and propel them in the second half of the season. The Steelhawks currently hold a one game lead for fourth place in the United Conference which, if the season ended today, would net them a playoff berth. The Steelhawks Defensive unit is currently ranked #2 in the IFL in points allowed.

The Steelhawks return to the Lehigh Valley on May 19th for the first of three home contests in a row as they take on the Omaha Beef in the two teams first meeting ever. The game is being deemed as "Salute to Heroes Night" and is being presented by Cohen & Feeley Attorneys at Law. The game will feature an auction throughout the contest with ALL proceeds going to local military families. In addition, the first 1,500 fans will receive a free Steelhawks/Cohen & Feeley drawstring bag.
