Blizzard Update: Green Bay picked up a big win in the United Conference race last week with a 69-56 win over Bloomington. The Blizzard snapped the Edge's seven game win streak. Offense, defense and special teams all scored points in the game. Running back La'Ron Council had another record breaking performance with 113 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. He was named the IFL Week 10 Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts. Green Bay Notre Dame graduate Jordan Lardinois spent a lot of time in the Edge backfield. The defensive lineman had two sacks and two forced fumbles. The Blizzard defense held the Bloomington offense to just 13 rushing yards on eight carries and only allowed one third down conversion in eight attempts. In his return to the Blizzard starting lineup, linebacker Greg Jackson led the defense with eight tackles. The Blizzard offense remained a balanced attack, gaining 136 yards through the air and 115 on the ground.

Edge Update: Bloomington's loss last week to Green Bay was its first loss since week one. It was the longest winning streak in team history. The Edge remain a half game ahead of the Blizzard in the United Conference standings. Quarterback Dusty Burk had a big game for the Edge. He was 24 of 39 passing for 232 yards, 7 touchdowns and no interceptions. Burk was the leading rusher with eight yards. Ricardo Lenhart led the receivers with 67 yards and two touchdowns. Charles Dowdell caught 3 touchdown passes. Linebacker Ameer Ismail led the team with eight total tackles. Ismail leads the IFL with 105 total tackles in seven games.

Series: With the victory over Bloomington last week, Green Bay took a 3-2 series lead. The home team has won every match-up in this series. Green Bay dropped the 2011 season opener in Bloomington 42-26.

Stats: Offense: Green Bay ranks third in the IFL with 54.5 points per game, Bloomington ranks fifth with 49.9 points per game. Defense: The Blizzard is fifth in the IFL at 42.1 points per game and the Edge dropped to ninth with 45.7 points per game. The Blizzard offense will once again have to protect the football (0 turnovers last week) and the quarterback. The Edge defense ranks third in the IFL in interceptions with 15 (the Blizzard ranks second with 16) and leads the league with 11 forced fumbles and 23 sacks.

Transactions:The Blizzard placed defensive backs Rodney Cox and Zach Gallow on season ending IR. The Blizzard signed DB Curtis Thomas (Texas Southern).
