It's Cinco de MONGO! Join us as we celebrate our head coach Steve 'Mongo' McMichael in a tropical atmosphere. Key Lime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort will give away a vacation get-away, while the Chicago Slaughter will giveaway a Mongo Autographed Football. Our Mongo Long Sleeve Tee will be on sale for $15 (regularly $20).
The Slaughter is celebrating Military Appreciation in the month of May. The items donated will benefit Operation Care Package. Operation Care Package is a 501c3 dedicated to their mission that no Hero serving our Nation should be forgotten. Their goal is to support our Soldiers, Marines, Sailors and Airmen through care packages and letters of encouragement. Join us in celebrating SARGE'S BIRTHDAY on Saturday, May 18 as the Slaughter take on the Reading Express. Watch for Sarge's friends, including Skates (Chicago Wolves), Sky Guy (Chicago Sky), Coop (Schaumburg Boomers), Bandit & Outlaw (Chicago Bandits) and Rusty (Gary RailCats) who will dance and play games with Sarge.
In conjunction with Sarge's birthday, we'll host Military Appreciation. Don't be late for the game as a howitzer will be fired, a special coin will be used for the coin flip and Future Soldiers will be sworn in all before kick off. Our fans will also have the opportunity to learn more about the life of a soldier in an Interactive Army Trailer outside our gates before the game starts. To show our support to our real life heroes there will also be a Remembrance Table on the concourse to honor POW and MIA as well as a chance for you to say thank you to a soldier overseas at our Card Making Table in the Fun Zone. The Chicago Slaughter will also be supporting Operation Care Package with a Military Drive for all men and women overseas. Be sure to bring all donated items to customer service throughout the game for a free ticket voucher for an upcoming 2012 Slaughter home game. On Military Appreciation Night all active military personnel and veterans will receive a free ticket by showing their military ID, while their families are offered discounted tickets.
Lake Barrington Field House will host autograph signings with Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs on Friday, June 1 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Cost is $100 for either autograph or $170 for both autographs. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Kennicott Family and their battle with Batten Disease. For more informatino visit www.hope4bridget.com.
